MARQUETTE -- Culinary students at Northern Michigan University put their ethnic cooking skills to the test for their annual dinner for the Northern Center of Lifelong Learning.
This year's meal had an Indian theme and featured four courses.
People got to enjoy appetizers, curried soup, a chicken entree, and dessert.
Instructors say it was a great way for students to explore the cuisine from other areas of the world.
"I think it's a good diversity exercise. It also exposes them to the public, the local community, and it gives them an idea of the world out there, what's going on," said Culinary Arts Instructor, Deborah Pearce.
This year's meal was completely booked with 53 people.
