Temperatures this morning dipped well into the -20s under clear skies and light winds across Upper Michgan.
However, they'll be on the rise today, and that will continue throughout the next several days, bringing an end to the bitter cold we've been enduring to a close this week.
Tonight's lows won't dip out of the teens, and tomorrow we'll see daytime highs push as high as 30 along the Wisconsin border. Sunday looks to be even warmer across the region, with daytime highs pushing into the 30s and even close to 40 in some southern locations.
The only slight downside to the weekend will be a series of weak lows pushing through the Great Lakes region. Some light snow is possible late today and tonight, mainly north. More light snows are possible late on Saturday, and Sunday could see some widespread snow later on as well. However, none of these lows will be particularly potent, and any accumulations will be light.
Next week doesn't look too worrisome, which may be the best news--no actic blasts of air are in sight at this point.
