MARQUETTE -- The Kenneth Godfrey Marrow Drive Registry at Northern Michigan University this past weekend was a big success.
According to Brian Gaudreau, NMU Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports,130 people stepped forward for the actual bone marrow testing. In addition, they raised around $3,200 through individual donations, donations made during the hockey games and through the account set up mBank.
The drive will continue on Tuesday at the N.M.U. Health Fair, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Another event is still in the planning stages to be done in April.
The account at mBank will stay open until May for anyone wishing to make a donation in that manner.
