The Rotary Club of Marquette puts on the fund-raising event every year
MARQUETTE -- The Rotary Club of Marquette proved Sunday morning that supporting your community can be delicious at their 35th annual Lumberjack Pancake Breakfast at the YMCA.
More than 500 people showed up from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m to stuff their Super Bowl hungry stomachs with flap jacks and contribute to a good cause.
A meal cost $7 for adults and $3 for kids 11 and under. Breakfast proceeds will benefit around 50 community and non-profit organizations.
"Our goal in Rotary is to support the community, specifically the youth of the community," says Rotary Club president Tim Glover. "Youth and families, and every year we're able to put back into the community anywhere between 30 and 50 thousand dollars."
The breakfast is the second biggest fund-raiser for Rotary.
Last year they raised about $13,000, and this year they hoped to exceed that.
