'Jig It' benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters
KIPLING -- The sixth annual Jig It Ice Fishing Extravaganza was held this weekend in Kipling.
Not only does the event raise money for a good cause, the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Bay Area, but it also gives kids a chance to spend the day with their family.
Most of the kids at Jig It make sure to come back every year in the hopes of winning prizes. Everyone has their own strategy for catching fish while having fun on the ice.
"Just jigging and using the strainers pretty good," says Roy Alson of Gladstone.
"We got some splike and we caught some whities," adds Cody Stevens of Escanaba.
Of course Cody didn't catch anything while our camera was rolling, but we caught up with him later weighing his latest catch at the station.
