Michigan lawmaker makes that proposal

LANSING -- Could Michigan soon allow residents to carry their guns into churches, schools, stadiums, hospitals, and casinos?

That's what Republican state Senator Mike Green of Mayville is proposing.  He's introduced legislation that would allow weapons in so-called "no-carry" zones.

Similar proposals in past years have not passed the Michigan legislature.

Green has also suggested getting rid of local gun licensing boards, with the Secretary of State's office handling permits for concealed weapons.
