MARQUETTE -- In 1969, Bishop Baraga's High School basketball team beat the odds.

After a rough start to their season and their school announced it was closing, they won the state championship.

And Marquette's Thunder and Lightning Productions thought their story was so compelling, they wanted to share it with the U.P.  They created a half-hour documentary about the team and their difficult road to winning the state title.

"What I hope people will take from it is that anything can happen and that you have to believe in yourself, and if you do, all the right things, even though you may have a few bumps in the road somewhere, you can be successful even here in the Upper Peninsula," said documentary Producer, Rich Rossway.

The documentary will air Wednesday night at 9 p.m. and Thursday at 7 p.m. on Charter Channel 12.
