Snow sculptures for Winter Carnival
HOUGHTON -- Michigan Tech has only been back in session for a week, but students are already busy building their snow statues for the month-long Winter Carnival competition.
About a dozen statues have sprung up around campus.
It's hard to say what any of them will look like, but it's bound to be something literary--this year's theme is 'Thousands of Pages Unfold in the Bitter Cold'.
Most of the sites are sectioned off with lights hanging from the trees and supplies piled in a corner ready for action at any spare moment.
Students have until the morning of February 10 to complete construction.
