ESCANABA -- Hockey players of all ages and skill levels have the chance to compete in a pond hockey tournament in Escanaba's Ludington Park early next month.

It'll be the first annual Mites-to-Men hockey tournament, and flyers have been sent all throughout the U.P.  The event starts on Friday, February 11 and lasts until Sunday.

The tournament structure will feature a four-on-four round robin game with no goalie and no checking.

All players must be USA Hockey registered and will have to bring their own equipment.

"Oh, just watching good old-fashioned hockey, you know, seeing kids out there having fun, but it's not just the kids," said Event Coordinator Terry Russell.  "We'll have kids from five to eight year old mites all the way up to the men."

If you would like more information on how to register, call Dawn Belongie at (906) 428-4597.
