ISHPEMING -- An Ishpeming girl was hospitalized after a stabbing incident Thursday night.
According to the Ishpeming City Police Department, it happened around 11:32 p.m. at a home on Oak Street.
The initial investigation shows that a 35-year-old woman stabbed her 11-year-old daughter.
The girl was taken to Marquette General, where she remains in intensive care. However, it appears she will recover from the attack.
The mother is lodged in the Marquette County Jail with her name being withheld pending arraignment.
