ADAMS TOWNSHIP -- Adams Township students will be spending fewer days in the classroom over the next few months.
The district has, once again, adopted a four-day week schedule for the winter.
The schools first implemented the shorter school week last January in hopes that it'd save heating costs.
Both teachers and parents supported bringing it back this year, noting its positive effect on students.
"The teachers saw that students were more engaged while they were here, and grades were not negatively affected," said Superintendent of Adam Township Schools, Tim Keteri.
The district will operate on a Monday through Thursday schedule through March.
They hope to continue the shorter week in the future.
