MARQUETTE -- This time of year most people put their bikes in the garage for the winter.  But there's a new bike attachment that can allow you to take your bike in the snow.

The bike accessory replaces the front wheel of your bike with a ski, which helps you steer in the snow.  And you add a traction system to the back wheel, allowing you to stop and go.

Even though the product, which is by K-Trak, has only been out for a couple of years, it seems to be catching on in the U.P.

"It's gotten a lot of looks, and I think a lot of people have test rode it, and I think people are surprised at the performance they got out of it," said Todd King of Down Wind Sports.

The attachment costs $500, and you can put it on just about any mountain bike.
