SAWYER -- Following the tragic homicide-suicide of Roy and Brooklyn Neal in Sawyer, community support has been pouring in.

It's believed that Roy Neal killed his wife with a knife and then killed himself earlier this month.

The couple left four children behind, and they're currently being cared for by their grandparents.

Local organizations and the general public have donated thousands of dollars to support the family, and Don Houghton, the children's grandfather, is extremely grateful.

"Just people have been a great help to all of us.  It's been overwhelming.  This is the only way, right now, that we can thank the communities enough because we can't get the cards out quick enough to thank everybody," said Houghton.

All donations will be used to benefit the four Neal children.
