MARQUETTE -- Father Marquette kindergarten students performed a nativity play Thursday morning for friends and family.

The students sang and acted out the story.  They even had the chance to pick their own parts.

The kids have been practicing for three weeks to get ready for the big show.  Kids and adults alike say they love the event.

"Well, I really liked singing and I practiced a lot.  It was really fun," said kindergartner Annabella Martinson.

"We really feel it instills the true meaning of Christmas into their lives at this early age," said Father Marquette Principal Jackie Wright.

Every year, all three Father Marquette kindergarten classes perform the nativity play.
