Looking for input

MARQUETTE -- They're working toward keeping the water safe, and the Marquette Waterfront Safety Task Force would like your input.

During this past summer, four people drowned off Marquette's shoreline, prompting the city to institute a warning flag system for swimmers at Picnic Rocks.

Thursday, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the task force is holding a public forum at Marquette City Hall in Commission Chambers.  Anyone who's interested is welcome to attend.

All proposed solutions will be discussed in-depth by the task force during future meetings.

If you can't make Thursday's meeting, you can contact the Marquette City Fire Chief afterwards.
