MARINETTE -- The 911 call phoned in by Marinette High School to report the hostage situation on Monday was released Wednesday afternoon by Marinette County Emergency Management.

The call was made by Principal Corry Lambie after he had learned that 10th grader Samuel Hengel had taken a class hostage.

In the video player above, we have the full phone call, just over three minutes long.

Three minutes after the call was made, officers were on the scene, but the ordeal didn't end for several more hours when officers burst into the classroom, and Hengel shot himself.

For a complete timeline of events during the hostage situate, check out the Press Release from Marinette Police Department on a recap of events.
