Munising man arraigned on assault

MUNISING -- The 31-year-old Munising man who allegedly assaulted a 33-year-old Munising man was arraigned in Alger County Circuit Court on Tuesday.

The event took place Sunday, November 21.

Jason Rouser was charged with two felony counts, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

For the first count, Rouser could serve up to 10 years in jail and $5,000 in fines.  For the second, he could face up to four years in jail and $2,000 in fines.  Rouser's cash bond has been set at $50,000.

His preliminary exam will take place at 2 p.m. on December 7.  In the meantime, he will remain in Alger County Jail.
