MARQUETTE -- It's a lot of work to put together more than 30 artificial Christmas trees. But when you get community members together and turn it into a party, the job becomes much easier.
The Friends of the Peter White Public Library hosted their annual potluck tree assembly party to get all the trees set up for the Winter Wonderland Walk.
Local organizations will each decorate their own tree with a different theme.
There's always a wide variety including kids trees, reading trees, and traditional Christmas themed trees.
The Winter Wonderland Walk has been going on for 15 years, and the friends say it's a tradition that needs to continue.
"It emphasizes the different ways that we celebrate Christmas. It makes it obvious that the library is one of the social centers of the community. It feels good," said Shawn Devlin, co-chair, Friends of the Peter White Library organization.
The Winter Wonderland walk will open on December 5 at 1 p.m.
