As the ground is now covered in snow, it's hard to think about going to a Farmer's Market

MARQUETTE -- The weekly Farmer's Market in Marquette is still up and running...except now it's indoors.

Shoppers can still find their favorite items from area vendors such as jewelry, candles, jams, and even a limited selection of fresh produce.

And although shopping is on the minds of many residents, vendors said the business has slowed down due to the chilly weather.

Luckily, people still come in looking for the perfect Christmas gift.

"A pair of earrings as stocking stuffers, that seems to go; they're reasonably priced and people are not spending a lot of money right now because these seem to be luxury items," says Kimm Frew of Budda Belly Beadworks.  "I think they're waiting until closer to Christmas before they really decide to spend their money."

The Farmer's Market will continue running every Saturday at the Marquette Commons until December 18.
