GLADSTONE -- Despite less than ideal conditions, the annual Gladstone Turkey Trot was held on Thanksgiving Day and organizers say they have a lot to be thankful for.

The Paul family has organized the annual Gladstone Turkey Trot for the past 11 years.

This year they had a record number of participants.  More than 140 people from across the Midwest were there.  In addition, they raised $770 to be divided between the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul.

There were also 12 big boxes of food gathered to help restock the food pantry shelves.

The next event put on by the Paul family will be the second annual Menominee Catholic Central & Healthy Youth Coalition Santa Boogie 5k run/walk Saturday December 4 at 9:45 a.m. at Menominee Catholic Central school.
