Cards for Troops aims to put smiles on the faces of troops

SAWYER -- The program is called Cards for Troops.  Its mission:  to put smiles on the faces of as many of our U.S. troops as possible.

This holiday season, it's especially important that our troops feel remembered.

The group is looking for cards, donations, and volunteers to help organize care packages.

It's an effort to make sure all of our brave troops feel like someone is thinking of them while they are serving our country during the holidays.

"A lot of people don't get any mail at all, and people don't believe that sometimes, but there's a lot of our troops that go into the military to kind of have a family," says Sherry Nutt, area Director of Cards for Troops.
