The recent flurries remind us...it's time to start thinking about that Christmas list
ESCANABA -- Saturday, the Delta County Chamber of Commerce made it fun with their Chamber Christmas Shopping Excursion sponsored by the Community Foundation for Delta County.
Thirty women took part and had a chance to pick up some gifts for the whole family.
They visited more than ten stores in Delta County.
The Delta County Chamber of Commerce says the excursion is a fun way to remind people that shopping local is important for the community.
"One thing that I think is important is there are so many stores here that people don't realize that we have, and that a lot of little gifts that they want to buy for people, they can find right here in Delta County. They don't need to go elsewhere to find them," says Sheila Hughes, Associate Chamber Director.
The Delta County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting another excursion December 4 and already have fourteen people signed up for the festivities.
