Now that the snow seems to be here to stay, area skiers are preparing for another season

MARQUETTE -- The Superiorland Cross-Country Ski Club hosted its annual Ski Swap at the Holiday Inn in Marquette Saturday.

Members donated gently-used cross-country skis, footwear, and other equipment.

The club took a small commission from each sale, all to benefit youth programming.

"It provides funding to develop trails for our youth, as well as provide equipment and travel monies for our youth skiers," says member Sam Graci.

This is an annual fund-raiser for the club.

Most of the items were swapped within the first thirty minutes.
