LILLTE LAKE -- Even though Breast Cancer Awareness Month is over, some Marquette County women are already looking ahead to taking part in next year's Avon Walk for the Cure in Chicago.

The Third Annual U.P. Pink Power Triathalon took place at the Full Throttle Bar and Grill in Little Lake Saturday afternoon.  Participants took part in pool, darts, and foosball, as well as a silent auction, to raise money for several Gwinn women.

"Every single one of us that's participating in the walk has had somebody in their life that's been affected by breast cancer, so we just want to raise money to help find a cure," said Cure walker, Julie Vallier.

Holding back her tears, Full Throttle Owner Sally Searle said, "We've got some women here that are breast cancer survivors, and it's really cool having them here, participating in this and surviving this thing, and it's equally as cool having these women help women fight this."

U.P. Pink Power will continue to hold other fund-raisers throughout the year.
