MARQUETTE -- Five Marquette County foundation programs held a business after hours in Marquette Thursday.
The event was a collaboration between the Bell Foundation, Lake Superior Community Partnership, Marquette County Community Foundation, Marquette General Foundation, and the NMU Foundation.
The goal was to educate business owners and community members on how they can support their favorite charities.
"We just want people to think about what their legacy is, both personally and for their families, and hopefully highlight some ideas that all of our organizations can present to the philanthropic community," said David Bammert of the NMU Foundation.
The various foundations help support programs such as scholarships and study abroad.
