MARQUETTE -- Two people were injured in a crash at the intersection of Commerce Drive and US-41 in Marquette Township Wednesday afternoon.

The Marquette County Sheriff's Department says a Pontiac Vibe driven by 21-year-old Sara Church of Marquette rear ended a Buick LeSabre driven by 82-year-old Vence Curtis of Gwinn.

Mr. Curtis and his passenger, 81-year-old Emma Curtis, were taken to Marquette General with non-life threatening injuries.

Church was ticketed for traveling too fast for conditions and being unable to stop in time.

The inner lane was closed off to traffic so the cars could be towed away.
