MARQUETTE -- There was one lone Democrat survivor after Tuesday's election:  State Representative for the 109th District, Steve Lindberg.

Representative Lindberg tells TV6 he's happy to be reelected but sad the Democrats will have a smaller voice in state and federal government.

"The Republican party will control the governorship, the Senate, the House, and the Supreme Court so their public policies can be pretty much what they want it to be," said Lindberg.

Lindberg beat Republican John Brock by nearly 5,000 votes.
