GLADSTONE -- Who bought the $140 million Mega Millions lotto ticket? That was still the big question on Monday.  The single winning ticket was sold at the Grain 'n' Grape convenience store in Gladstone.  No one's come forward yet to claim the prize, and the community is still buzzing about it.

Rumors about the winner continue to circulate, and that's all they are at this point...rumors.

As of Monday evening, the state lotto office in Lansing says the official winner or winners have yet to claim the ticket.  Like everyone else, the employees at the Grain 'n' Grape hope that happens soon.

The small convenience store is now the hotspot for curious customers wanting to know who's got the winning ticket.

"A lot of people ducking in, did you fine out who the winner is or which one of your girls sold it??  That's pretty much been most of the buzz," explained cashier, Sheila Wedell.

The winning numbers in Friday evening's Mega Millions drawing were 4, 19, 26, 28 and 39. The Mega Ball was 14.

Employees say until the winner comes forward, they won't even know who specifically sold the ticket or even what day it was printed. With all the unanswered questions, excited residents are talking and speculating...and hoping the winner is someone local.

"I think it's great.  Hopefully the money will stay in the area," explained Wells resident, Mike Grassel.

"I hope it's somebody that really needs it, and I hope it's a relative," said Gladstone resident, Terry McPherson.

"For somebody to come in and win a little bit of money would be wonderful, and I hope that it's more than one person.  I really do," said Gladstone resident, Theresa Johnson.

The Grain 'n' Grape will see some of the winnings once the ticket is claimed, about $50,000 minus taxes.  The winner has one year to claim the prize before it expires.
