Assault with intent to murder

HOUGHTON -- The South Range man accused of shooting a friend this summer was back in court on Monday.

William Thomas Andrews, 37, pled not guilty to all charges Monday afternoon, including assault with intent to murder.

Andrews allegedly shot 27-year-old Joseph Sweeney during an early morning argument at the South Range Ball Park.  If convicted, Andrews is facing life in prison.

A pretrial hearing and three day trial have been tentatively scheduled for early next year.
