Candy Buyback

MARQUETTE -- The national Candy Buyback program was started by a Wisconsin dentist a couple of years ago, and dental offices across the country have picked up on the idea.

This is the second year Washington Dental in Marquette is holding its own Candy Buyback.  There's incentive for kids to part with the sweets, one dollar per pound, plus prizes will be raffled off for kids and their parents.

The plan is to once again donate the candy collected to the Marquette National Guard, which is currently preparing for deployment.

The buyback is occuring at Washington Dental office in Marquette on Monday, the day after Halloween, from 4 to 7 p.m.

To find a complete list of drop-off locations, head to the Halloween Candy Buyback website.
