MARQUETTE -- NMU students were busy Thursday night, turning the Forest Roberts Theater into a haunted house.

Thursday night was the dress rehearsal for the cast and crew of 70 students.

They invited a small group of children and adults to fine tune their performances and work out any problems.

The proceeds from the haunted house go to the First Nighter's Club, which provides scholarships and equipment for the drama department.

The crew says the theater was an easy choice for the haunted house.

"We have the best facility to do a haunted house in that anyone does, we have better tech features available, better sound, better lights and all the actors I could ask for.  It's great, it's very very fun," said Director, Marty Martello.

Performances for children run Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m..

Adult performances are on Friday and Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m..
