ESCANABA -- Although all the work is complete out in front of the Escanaba High School, there are still several renovation projects happening inside the school.
Crews are currently creating new classsroom space located in the "F" section of the high school.
The school will have a new art room, welding and wood shop, along with four new classrooms, mainly for seniors.
School officials hope to have some of the rooms done in a few weeks.
"We repurposed other areas that used to be an old print shop and areas that became storage over the years. We emptied that out and repurposed them into classroom space again. This is actually in the opposite area of the building of our "A" section, so we're moving a lot of the senior classrooms down here to create a senior wing," said Principal Doug Leisenberg.
All the renovations are part of a larger, multi-phase project for the entire district.
All the classrooms should be complete by December 1.
