Stores are stocked with all sorts of goodies for the holiday
MARQUETTE -- Spooky decorations, costumes, and lots of candy. That's what usually comes to mind when planning for the Halloween holiday.
Local stores have stocked up on all of the above to make sure they're ready for last minute Halloween shoppers. At Target, you can find everything from party favors to indoor and outdoor decorations.
"One of the most popular items we have is this lifesize witch with a motion sensor on it. So when you walk by, it gives a little startle, a little yell at you...but it's pretty fun. That one's been pretty popular this year," says Target Store Team Leader Keven Higgins.
And if you don't want to decorate but still want to get in the Halloween spirit, you can get a costume. So what are some popular costumes this year?
"Right now it's usually the standard pirates, cowboys, of course, little girls usually like to find something for a princess, and vampires. A lot of vampire capes and teeth and things like that. I think that's real popular this year as well," explains Party in Disguise owner, Sandy Rose.
And if you don't want to buy a costume, you can always rent one.
It wouldn't be Halloween, though, without trick-or-treaters and candy. Most stores have their shelves fully stocked.
"It seems like just the traditional staples. Candy corn is a big one, your normal Snickers, Milky Ways are flying out of here. But we've got plenty in stock," Higgins says.
But stores are encouraging shoppers to purchase their Halloween items soon to ensure the best selection.
