MARQUETTE -- It was a chance for the candidates to respond to questions about issues that affect children and their families.
Republican and Democratic candidates for offices representing the Upper Peninsula in the U.S. House of Representatives, State Senate and State House of Representatives were invited to attend.
"This is really important because these people at this level the state level make a lot of decisions that affect children and families on a day to day basis and it's really critically important that people have an opportunity to get to know these people and to find out who they are and how they feel about issues that are important to the average person in the community," said Coalition Chairman, Paul Olson.
