HOUGHTON -- I'm sad to announce that Friday is the last day of FOX UP's Top Choice Chicken Wings week.
Friday, we went west for a look at The Downtowner in Houghton. People who go to The Downtowner Lounge love it for its relaxed and casual vibe. You can sit for hours with friends out on the patio enjoying beautiful canal views as you chow down on basket after basket of their delicious wings.
What makes The Downtowner a Houghton hotspot? Their wings are extra large and tossed in a sauce that, owners say, can't be duplicated.
"We got our current recipe from my Uncle Bob when we decided to change it six years ago. Since we changed it, it really took off, and people really seem to like it," says Aimee Romps of The Downtowner Lounge.
