Vote for your favorite U.P. wings
MARQUETTE -- FOX UP's search for the best wings in the U.P. continued Tuesday with The Doghouse Pub on Washington Street in Marquette.
The Doghouse has been a weekend hotspot for five years, serving up great food and drinks to NMU students, sports fans, and everyone in between. Folks go to The Doghouse for its friendly "cheers" vibe. The employees at The Doghouse don't wear name tags, and they don't have to.
When you take a seat at the bar, you're greeted by someone who knows your name. And this personal touch in The Doghouse's service is also right in their wings.
At The Doghouse, you can get your wings served up just the way you like them. Mild? Medium? Hot? Spicy barbeque? Insanely hot? The choice is all yours. All of their sauces are homemade with secret spices, and that's what makes them special.
"The wings here are absolutely phenomenal. They put on a lot of sauce, and you can get a bunch of different varieties--medium is my favorite--but I know mild is popular as well. The spicier the better in my opinion," says Casey Ford, a Doghouse Pub regular.
"At a lot of franchises that serve chicken wings, they can't make any choices. Here, as a privately-owned business, we're able to get the largest possible chicken wings available to us, and we can cater and change the sauces and sizes based on our customers' response," says Doghouse Pub manager, Paul Luoma.
Wednesday night we're traveling south to The Delta Pub in Gladstone. Don't forget to vote below!
