GLADSTONE -- An Escanaba man is in custody after allegedly assaulting and threatening two people with a knife Wednesday night in Gladstone.
Jesse Witte, 28, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, interfering with electronic communications, and having an open alcohol container.
Wednesday night, authorities responded to an assault in progress at a Gladstone residence.
A female was assaulted and a male was threatened with a knife, officials report. Witte then left the scene, but was arrested a short time after.
Witte's preliminary hearing is set for October 15.
