Repairs should be finished in late October

HOUGHTON COUNTY -- Attention ORV riders in the Keweenaw, a portion of the Hancock-Calumet ORV trail has been temporarily re-routed.

The re-route, beginning Monday, will allow for repair and reconstruction of a bridge spanning Gooseneck Creek.

DNRE officials anticipate that the bridge will be closed for repairs until late October.

During that time, the ORV route to the north and south of Gooseneck Creek will remain open for use, with a temporary marked re-route available for trail riders.
