Woman rescued from Marquette breakwater

Coast Guard called to Marquette's Upper Harbor

MARQUETTE -- Summer is over and the waves looked a little menacing out along the breakwater in Marquette's Upper Harbor Thursday.

A Coast Guard crew had to evacuate a downstate woman from the end of the breakwater Thursday afternoon when waves started flowing over the wall.

The woman is okay, but officials remind us to stay off of the breakwaters during high seas and bad weather.
