MARQUETTE -- Bringing new jobs to the area and keeping them here.  That's the goal of this year's Great Lakes Economic and Workforce Summit.

This is the fifth year for the event which usually brings in nearly 300 people.  Attendees will learn how to win and succeed in business, bring creativity to their jobs, and have the opportunity to network with professionals from all across the U.P.

Organizers say guests always find the conference to be beneficial.

"Summit attendees have told us it's given them a broader range of ideas," says Joe Esbrook of the Job Force Board.  "It's increased their scope of influence within their communities so they can bring their information back to their communities across the Upper Peninsula and share that with their coworkers and the private sector in their community."

The summit will be held on September 8 at NMU.  For more information and to register, click here
