Archery training in the U.P.

PORCUPINE MOUNTAINS -- Later this week, there's a great chance for beginning archers in the western Upper Peninsula.

Visitors to Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park will have the chance to learn the skill of shooting a bow and arrow during 'Archery in the Park.'  The event is taking place on Thursday, September 2, at 7 p.m.

This beginner archery program will go over the basics of shooting a bow and arrow.

Archery equipment for most ages and abilities will be available for use during the free, one-hour program.

Participants should meet at the winter recreation area middle parking lot.
