Over 100 cars were on display
MARQUETTE -- It is said that "good things come to those who wait," and those who waited to attend Marquette's Seafood Fest on its final day got a special treat: a car show.
Organized by the Marquette West Rotary Club, the show was free to anyone who was already at Seafood Fest.
About 120 souped up cars were parked in Lower Harbor Park, both original and classic.
"We already have Seafood Fest so it's another draw for people to come down. We've got the park rented and we've got room in the park, so we might as well utilize it with another activity or function," said Car Show Coordinator, Kathy LaJeunesse.
Those who brought their cars were entered to win prizes from local businesses.
This is the 10th year the car show has participated in Seafood Fest; next year they hope to expand by incorporating motorcycles as well.
