MARQUETTE -- Rainy weather may have put a damper on the annual Seafood Fest in Marquette last year, but this year, organizers are ready to host the biggest festival ever.

Crews got to work early this morning, mapping out the area and constructing the stage for the 27th annual festival.

New features are in store for the festival including live lobster, food from Vango's, new bands and student performers.

"We made some changes that we feel people will enjoy," said Seafood Festival Co-chair Bill Martin.  "We've done pretty much the same for the 26 prior years, and we're just changing it a little bit."

In the festival's existence the Rotary Club has raised more than $410,000 for local organizations.

The festival will be August 26 through 28 in Marquette's Mattson Lower Harbor.
