Over 1,500 motorcycles are expected to cruise into the U.P. this week
ESCANABA -- Over 1,500 motorcycles are expected to cruise into the U.P. this week, all for the annual Michigan Harley Owner's Group, or H.O.G Rally, which will set up shop in Escanaba for the first time ever.
The motorcycle enthusiasts from across the state will be camping out at the fairgrounds. The event, which members call Da Moonlight Rally, will run through Sunday.
Officials say it's just a fun way to celebrate a common interest.
"It gives them a chance to get together and interface with each other and the different chapters and to also look at the newest and greatest Harley products that are out there and to get to celebrate the free-wheeling lifestyle of Harley Davidson," said Steve Masters with the Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The rally officially kicks off on Thursday night in downtown Escanaba with a street party. For more information click here.
