SOUTH RANGE -- A suspect is in custody after a shooting in Houghton County this weekend.
    
According to the Michigan State Police in Calumet, it happened in the early morning hours on Sunday at Veteran's Memorial Ball Park.
    
A 27-year-old South Range man was shot after getting into an argument with a 37-year-old man, also from South Range.
    
The victim is currently at Marquette General Hospital in stable condition.
    
The suspect was taken into custody about an hour after the shooting and remains lodged in the Houghton County Jail.  He is charged with attempted murder. 

Names of those involved will be released after the suspect's arraignment.
