In a tough economy, the company is more than thriving, it's actually growing
SOUTH RANGE -- Keweenaw Brewing is beating the odds; in a tough economy, the company is more than thriving, it's actually growing.
In its short lifetime, the company's four beers have seen a lot of success, winning numerous Midwestern competitions.
As a result, they plan to ring in next year with a new beer: Old Ore Dock Scottish Ale.
"We're doing really well, obviously. Of course, we're excited about that. That's kind of what business is all about, you know. Of course, we're talking about, and it's about, beer. You know what really matters is can you afford to stay in business? We're happy to say that not only can we stay in business, but we can market and try to get more of our beers out to the public on a grander scale," says co-owner Dick Grey.
To make room for the new beer, the company plans to add another conditioning tank and additional storage facilities to their brewery.
