MARQUETTE -- Cadets at the NMU Regional Police Academy have been through first aid training and active shooting incidents during their training.

Tomorrow is graduation day, but before the big ceremony, the cadets faced one more endurance test, a 10-mile run.

The run was voluntary, but many participated.  The activity is a celebratory run for the cadets for finishing training.

"It's such a relief.  We just had our MCOLS test yesterday and everybody mostly passed that, so I'm just really excited to be done with this, it's hard to explain," said cadet Brandon Erdman.

Thirty-two cadets are expected to graduate Wednesday.
