MARQUETTE -- After years of neglect, the courtyard area at Graveraet Intermediate School will finally be restored.

At Thursday's school board meeting, it was approved to go ahead with the plans for restoring the courtyard and fountain area.  It's estimated that the project will cost close to $150,000 and includes all materials, foliage, and a sprinkler system.  Fund-raising efforts have already tallied more than $75,000.

The board has voted to use capital project funds to help cover the remaining costs but are hoping to still have donors fund the project.  The school will be meeting with contractors on Monday so construction can start as soon as possible.
