Eighty people walked
MARQUETTE -- More than five million Americans are living with Alzheimers, and nearly ten million more are serving as caregivers.
Saturday morning in Marquette, Swick Plumbing and Heating sponsored its annual 'Walk against Alzheimers' to Presque Isle and back.
About 80 people participated and donated to the Alzheimers Association. Organizers say they reached their goal of about $2,000.
They were able to raise the money through several methods of donation around the U.P. One little boy even donated the money he raised at his lemonade stand.
