Assault and robbery under investigation

ST. IGNACE TOWNSHIP -- Michigan State Police are still searching for suspects in an assault and robbery that took place early Tuesday morning along the Mackinac Trail in St. Ignace Township.

The 39-year-old female victim was walking on the road when a dark colored van pulled up, a suspect grabbed her, assaulted her, then stole her money.

The victim says there were three white males in the vehicle.  She was treated and released from the hospital.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the St. Ignace State Police post at (906) 643-7582.
